Women Power

In 2015, 3.7 million girls were out of school and in rural areas girls receive an average of fewer than four years of education. There is a belief among rural areas that girls should stop schooling after reaching puberty.

India has the highest number of child brides in Asia. There is also a painful dogma that educating a girl is futile – a waste of time and money; as they are born only to be married off and manage the household.

Educated women are capable of bringing socio-economic changes. Her identity as an individual would never get lost. Educated women are looked upon with dignity and honour. They become a source of inspiration for millions of young girls who make them their role-model.

JKF’s scholarship programme was launched to provide easy access to quality education and empower the youth to become future independent leaders. The scholarship supports education for all and supports meritorious students to pursue college education. Almost most of our scholars are girls.
