Who We Are

Dr Jaya wanted to reach out to those who needed a little help to climb the ladder of life. This was the  simple idea behind the launch of JK Foundation. The team consisting of Dr Jaya, Mr. Ponraj, Prof. Jason, Joshua and Dr Priya offered hope to families, but mindful of their dignity and not as charity. Initially we began by giving support to those who approached us with their needs. JK Foundation ensured that we gave a helping hand to orphans, persons with disabilities, Lepers, AIDS victims and their children, monthly sustenance to elders, destitute women, single parents, marriages for poor girls and funding them to start their married life, assistance to children in north-eastern states.

Our Causes
Diverse people have diverse needs. Our team did some looking back on our previous support to those who sought help. We felt merely providing food, one time support or monthly financial assistance does not help an individual in the long run. In this regard we had two approaches we wanted boldly take up specific target group and help. Find self-sustainable solutions to create a lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable and excluded children, their families and communities. We aimed at the children of Prisoners. These children lived in the shadows and mere undeserved. Though we had fixed our focus on the children of Prisoners, our initial projects do continue.
