Voice of a Tribal Child-Saratha Aauula

JKF and other bilateral NGOs have partnered with a focus on girls of marginalized and minority communities which have the highest levels of illiteracy. Saratha Aauula was a blind girl of the _-___ Tribe, JKF motivated her education and upbringing, and today she is a shining example that anyone can achieve. Following closely in Saratha’s foot-steps was Sobita Musaki from the Khoya Tribe of Malkangiri district of southwestern Odisha, who is also supported by JKF; and is now earnestly pursing her school studies and is sincere in transforming her life as well as Tribe’s future. Providing empowering skills to girls from disadvantaged communities, are among the major initiatives to improve literacy levels.

These young women have grown to become role models in their communities, who inspire younger girls to go to school and continue their education. When indigenous children receive an education it is the chance of a new beginning.
