Our health care outreach model focuses on preventative care. JKF organizes medical camps  where we provide basic treatment and general check up to help people be aware of their health status. In a rare gesture directed towards an otherwise ignored section of the population, we organized a Camp at the St. Anne’s centre for children , with special needs at Annayarkulam, to assess the needs and problems of the specially-abled children. JKF organized a team which included  doctors, nurses and a lab technician who worked tirelessly to see that every child was attended to. This cause is close to our heart as this strata of the society usually goes unnoticed and we feel they should be given priority especially when it comes to access to healthcare. We provide counseling and vocational guidance to the children suffering from physical and mental problems. That day we had a huge turn out,  which is a clear indicator of the urgent need for medical care in the community.
